Parent Circle and the Latin Patriarch

In the afternoon, we met with one Jewish and and one Palestinian parent who belong to a joint bereavement group that works for reconciliation, peace and tolerance. It was a powerful experience listening to their stories of loss and how they have united together to work for peace. You can learn more about the group at www.parentcircle.com.

To the right is the Palestinian woman and left the Jewish man who spoke to us.

This was our group meeting with the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. He presented on the Synod of the Middle East. One of his points was the need for inter-religious dialogue. He said that this is a pressing issue not only in the Middle East, but across the world. It is through dialogue that we can begin to have mutual understanding and build respect and friendship among peoples.
