Via Dolorosa and Holy Sepulcher

We did the via dolorosa and the church of the Holy Sepulcher at 5 AM. The early time was to avoid the large crowds as well as the shops. There are store fronts lining the via dolorosa.

Jesus body was prepared on this stone slab.





This is the tomb of Jesus. It does not look like the biblical picture because the church was build on the site. Inside the room pictured, there is a marble slab that covers the rock that Jesus was laid upon.

After our morning, we had breakfast. I will be posting pictures of the morning and afternoon sites later this afternoon.
